About the Author
Michael Adas is Abraham E. Voorhees Professor of History and Board of Governors' Chair at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He is the author most recently of Dominance by Design: Technological Imperatives and America's Civilizing Mission.
Peter N. Stearns is Provost and University Professor at George Mason University. Since 1967, he has served as editor-in-chief of The Journal of Social History.His numerous books include World History in Documents;American Behavioral History;and Anxious Parents.
Stuart B. Schwartz is the George Burton Adams Professor of History and chair of the Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies at Yale University. His many books include "All Can Be Saved: Religious Tolerance and Salvation in the Iberian Atlantic World."

This is one of the most useless textbooks I have ever used

This is one of the most useless textbooks I have ever used. It has very small text that is in columns of endless pages with poorly structured passages. There is no review of the chapters and the headings are not always clear on what aspect of history is being addressed within the chapter. I like history but this book made me miserable.
